London Marathon 2026

Thank you for wanting to run the London Marathon 2026 for The Sleep Charity. Because we have a limited number of places, we ask everyone to complete an application form. We will then allocate our places based on your answers, and run a waiting list in case anyone drops out before the registration deadline.
You can increase your chances of securing a place by also entering the official ballot. If you are lucky and get a ballot place, we’d love to have you join our team – and simply raise as much as you can.
If you are awarded a The Sleep Charity place, we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £2000 to make sure we can continue to support the millions of people and families across the UK struggling with sleep issues.
By being part of our team you will receive;
A warm welcome
and introduction to the rest of the team with our Facebook/WhatsApp group
Ongoing updates
to make sure you have all the information you need
Lots of support
and fundraising tips, ideas and resources to help you hit – and smash – your fundraising target
A special running top/vest
with Sleep Charity branding and your name
On the day support
cheering your name at our cheer point
A post-race reception
to give you a huge congratulations in person
If you’ve got any questions about your application, or need anything in a different format for accessibility, please get in touch with Sally on info@thesleepcharity.org.uk
We look forward to receiving your application!

Terms and Conditions
- An application is not a guarantee of a place. Your application will be scored and runners offered a place as soon as feasible – regardless of outcome. Your place is not confirmed until your £99 registration fee is paid.
- Successful applicants will be required to pay a registration fee of £99.00 to secure your place (details will be provided when the places are allocated).
- You are encouraged to also enter the official Ballot, and let us know as soon as possible if you are successful in receiving a Ballot place.
- You must be at least 18 years of age on the date of your application.
- You will be sent information to formally register with London Marathon on their Registration Console using a The Sleep Charity place. You commit to completing this information in a timely manner and by any deadlines set by the charity/London Marathon or risk forfeiting your place.
- You must inform The Sleep Charity, as soon as possible, of any reason you are unable to take part in the TCS London Marathon.
- By agreeing to these terms and conditions, if you are successful in receiving a place, you are committing to raising a minimum of £2,000 (not including Gift Aid or Match-funding)
To show your commitment, we recommend that you register with our recommended online fundraising platform as soon as we send you the information to do so.
- We will use your contact information to stay in touch about your application and notify you if you’re successful in securing a place. We may need to get in touch to ask for some more information before we can make a decision. If you are given one of our Charity places, we will use your information to stay in touch about the event, provide fundraising information, and important ‘need to knows’. This is separate to our marketing opt-in process and a condition of entry to the event.
- The Sleep Charity reserves the right to remove your name from the Marathon Registration Console if you do not adhere to our Terms and Conditions, do not respond to communications, or do not start your fundraising in a timely manner. We will communicate with you before we revoke your place.
- You are responsible for reading and agreeing to information provided by London Marathon, particularly their terms and conditions around collection of your running number, event safety and liability.
