Volunteering
Our vision is for everyone to be able to enjoy a good night’s sleep and that’s why volunteering is at the heart of what we do – it gets our message out louder and further in our community.
There are lots of way you can volunteer your time and skills to help the charity and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way. We couldn’t continue the work we do without your help.
Volunteer Sleep Practitioners
Our volunteer Sleep Practitioners provide vital support to families who need it most, offering practical sleep advice and guidance through online and telephone clinics. They also help raise awareness of sleep support and connect people with the help they need in their local communities.
By sharing their knowledge, experience and time, our volunteers help families better understand their child’s sleep and feel more confident about making positive changes. Their contribution also enables us to extend our reach and support more families experiencing sleep difficulties.
We don’t currently have any volunteer vacancies, but please check back for future opportunities to join our team and make a difference.
Sleep Talkers
Do you want to be there when a sleep deprived mum wants to talk? Or what about a teen who doesn’t understand why they can’t fall asleep anymore? Be part of your local community and provide a vital support.
Our national Sleep Talkers training programme encourages the nation to talk about sleep positively. Over the past few years - thanks to funding - we've been training volunteers to pass information on to people in their areas who are experiencing sleep issues and aims to reduce stigma around lack of sleep.
To find out if there's funding please visit our Sleep Talkers website.
Other volunteers
Our volunteers have contributed in so many different ways – from reviewing and designing our corporate branding and helping us develop our online training hub, to sharing specialist expertise, supporting projects and helping us reach more people with high-quality sleep information and support.
Whether someone has volunteered with us for a short-term project or supported our work over a longer period, every contribution has played a part in helping our charity grow and develop.
We are enormously grateful to everyone who has volunteered their time with us over the years. Quite simply, we wouldn’t be where we are today without their support.
