We were delighted to be asked to work by Penguin Random House to input into the brand new Elmer book – Elmer and the Bedtime Story – as part of the launch of 2022’s Elmer Day.
This year Elmer Day (28th May) not only celebrates the themes of inclusivity and friendship which runs throughout all its book but it also honoured the life and legacy of Elmer creator, David McKee. A resource pack is available containing all you need to celebrate Elmer Day in a bookshop, library, classroom or at home. Included in the pack is lots of activities and craft ideas as well as sleep hints and tips from us.
Here’s a snippet of what the latest book is all about:
It’s bedtime, and Elmer’s looking after two baby elephants. But how will he get them to sleep? A good walk will do it, Elmer thinks. But as they walk past their friends, everyone in the jungle seems to think he should tell them a bedtime story, and they each have their own favourites. What’s yours?
