A new interactive exhibition inviting you to reimagine your sleep is here!
We’re pleased to announce that the Reimagining Sleep online exhibition is now live – a project we’re delighted to support.
Curated by artist Chiara Dellerba, The Understanding and Reimagining Sleep and Its Disorders project, led by Dr Diletta De Cristofaro at Northumbria University and funded by the Wellcome Trust, is a workshop series where participants have come together with sleep researchers and an artist to explore the impact of sleep disorders in our lives and produce creative responses to sleep. These responses have now been collected into a new interactive online exhibition.
The exhibition collects soundscapes, poems, infographics, and a deck of cards that encourages reflection, decompression, and pausing. Structured around three main themes – sleep and parenting, sleep and ageing, sleep and menopause – the show highlights the many ways in which creativity communicates, entertains, and reveals under-explored paths for those interested in sleep, and especially for those living with sleep difficulties.
Each exhibition page is accompanied by toolkits that you can download and use to explore and reimagine your relationship with sleep through creative exercises. You’re invited to contribute to the exhibition by uploading your responses to the toolkits’ prompts on the website. Submission forms can be found on each exhibition page.
We hope you enjoy viewing and contributing to the exhibition! View here!
