There are some days that stay with you forever – and the London Marathon was one of them.
This year, The Sleep Charity was incredibly proud to have two inspiring runners take on the iconic 26.2 miles: Tom and Abi. From the very first mile to that unforgettable finish line moment, they carried not just their own determination, but the hopes of everyone connected to our cause.
The atmosphere in London was electric. Crowds lined the streets, cheering, clapping, and lifting spirits when legs began to tire. For Tom and Abi, the day was a mix of adrenaline, emotion, and sheer resilience. There were moments of strength, moments of doubt, and moments where the support of the crowd – and knowing why they were running – made all the difference.
Running a marathon is never just physical. It’s mental, emotional, and deeply personal. Every step they took helped raise awareness of the importance of sleep and the work we do to support families, children, and individuals struggling with sleep issues. In those tougher miles, when the finish line still felt far away, it was that purpose that kept them moving forward.
Seeing them cross the finish line was nothing short of incredible. A mix of exhaustion, pride, relief, and joy – everything a marathon represents in one powerful moment. We couldn’t be prouder of what they achieved.
To everyone who donated, shared, cheered, and supported along the way – thank you. Your generosity has been truly overwhelming. Every contribution helps us continue our vital work, reaching more people who need support with their sleep and wellbeing.
A very special thank you goes to our sponsor, Anker, for their support. Your backing helped make this journey possible, and we are so grateful to have you alongside us.
Tom and Abi, you’ve done something extraordinary. You’ve pushed through every mile, every challenge, and every doubt – and in doing so, you’ve made a real difference.
We couldn’t be prouder.
