In just a few days, thousands of runners will take to the streets for the TCS London Marathon. Among them are Tom and Abi, running not just for the finish line – but for something far more powerful: better sleep for everyone.
They’re supporting The Sleep Charity, a national charity working to ensure no one has to struggle alone with sleep. Because while sleep is often overlooked, it underpins our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing – and yet around 40% of people experience sleep issues without the support they need.
When Sleep Takes Over Your Life
For many families, sleep isn’t just a nightly challenge – it can become all-consuming. One family supported by The Sleep Charity described how “sleep had dominated our lives”, reaching a breaking point before they sought help. Like so many others, they were exhausted, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. Through tailored, expert support, they were able to rebuild routines, regain rest, and ultimately reclaim their family life.
This is the impact your donation makes possible. It helps families move from crisis to calm, from sleepless nights to brighter, more manageable days.
Meet the Runners: Tom & Abi

Tom and Abi have put in months of dedication to get to this start line. Early mornings, long runs, and unwavering commitment – this hasn’t been easy.
Tom’s journey is particularly inspiring. After breaking his ankle in the autumn, even getting back to running was uncertain. But through determination and resilience, he’s made it to marathon week.
Now, every mile they run is about raising awareness and essential funds to help others find the rest they desperately need.
Why Donations Matter
The Sleep Charity provides life-changing support – from helplines and resources to one-to-one interventions for families in crisis. Their work is grounded in evidence-based approaches and has already helped thousands improve their sleep and wellbeing.
But they can’t do it alone.
Donations ensure more families can access support, more professionals can be trained, and more people can understand the life-changing power of sleep.

Sleep Tips for Marathon Week
As race day approaches, sleep becomes a runner’s secret weapon. If you’re running this weekend, here are some simple ways to support your body and mind:
- Focus on the next few nights – not just the night before
- Stick to a consistent bedtime to support your body clock
- Wind down early: dim lights, reduce screens, create calm
- Keep your bedroom cool, dark and quiet
- Avoid late caffeine or heavy meals
- Remember: rest still helps, even if sleep feels tricky
Good sleep supports recovery, performance and mental focus – helping you arrive at the start line feeling ready.
Powered by Purpose
The work of The Sleep Charity is proudly powered by Anker, helping to amplify their mission and reach more people in need of support. The team have kindly donated Soundcore Sleep A30s and Magsafe power banks to get Tom and Abi fully rested and charged to take on the day.

Good Luck & Thank You
To every runner taking part – good luck. Whether you’re chasing a PB or simply aiming to cross the finish line, you’ve already achieved something incredible.
And to everyone supporting, donating or cheering from the sidelines – thank you. You are helping change lives, one night’s sleep at a time.
