New Online Hub Supporting Adults With ADHD

Jun 16, 2023

We are launching a new online hub to support adults who have a diagnosis of ADHD thanks to the £10,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund which will make a big difference to the lives of many over the next few years.

Working in partnership with those with lived experience, we are aiming to provide a range of accessible evidence-based information for adults who have sleep issues and ADHD. The project will bring the community together across England through the use of online forums to help to reduce feelings of isolation that sleepless nights often bring.

Sleep issues can impact negatively on all areas of wellbeing and exasperate symptoms of ADHD. We identified that there is currently a lack of support in this area. This project aims to provide help at the earliest opportunity to prevent sleep issues from escalating so that individuals to meet their full potential.

Our CEO and founder, Vicki Beevers will be leading the project and said: “I have a diagnosis of ADHD myself, so this is an area that I am particularly keen to address. There are many reasons why those with ADHD may have sleep issues, empowering with sleep education and information is vitally important. It is important that those with lived experience are heard and their voice will be inputted into our work throughout so that the resources we provide are as supportive as possible.”

The project aims to reach 500 individuals within the first year and to offer 50 practitioners specialist information to share with those that they support.  The project has been designed so that it will leave a legacy once funding ends, with resources being freely available to download from our website.

If you have a diagnosis of ADHD or are a practitioner who supports those with a diagnosis and would like to get involved or find out more please email info@thesleepcharity.org.uk or book onto the launch webinar which is being held on Tuesday 4th July at 12:15pm via this link here.
